I praise God, Helen, that you are recovering so well after your liver transplant! Are you now 6 months after surgery, or a year?
This week for me marks three years after my open heart surgery (replacing a section of the body's main artery )the ascending aorta, the aortic heart valve, and three coronary bypasses.) Like you, I only need see the heart specialist once a year, and I feel pretty well (some artrhritis and old age.)
Enjoy your trip to Washington DC, and have a safe trip to Bangkok.

Helen, We are joining you in thanksgiving that God has spared you for His purposes. We hope you can enjoy your time in Florida and later in DC. When you see Bit and Susan please give our love. John and I checked our Birmingham phone messages and are sorry we will miss you completely this summer. We are spending our summer in Idaho wilderness. This is a lovely part of America. We have really roughed it camping with friends beside rivers. This is very enjoyable to us. We get to hike and bike. The mornings are cool, but afternoons are a lot like Alabama...Whew!!! We love you and Shan. Is Mac with you also??? Have a nice few weeks. Jean
