Health Care!

"It can be said that, at age 76, her time had come. What we, as the great nation we are, can't justify is the long process of suffering she endured without medical attention.
Times have changed, and most working folk have some health insurance. But co-pays add up on a strained budget. Elderly people live on reduced and fixed incomes. The cost of health care is in the stratosphere."......................................
"Younger people may be unemployed for myriad reasons: some by downsizing; some through unmarketable skills. Those of us fortunate enough to have health insurance want to keep it. However, in our country, it is unconscionable to turn our backs on the poor and the suffering.
It is not about dying. We are all destined to that fate. But, for many, and many of those are children, no one should be destined to suffer, as did my Mama."

Every time when I read about health care of USA, I feel sad, angry, worry and lost but I can't do nothing beside those people who are sitting at the White House can help?? OBAMA do something quick!!
Let me tell you because of this Health Care or Insurance policy, it was ruined my Christmas for the first time in 2008! Robins opened a letter from my Insurance right before we were heading to Shan States after many many years.
This letter gave up a fight, a misery, an angry and become the talk of our daily life too!
For the last 11 years Robins has been paying for this Insurance company for around 5000$ or 7000$ per year but............... after hitting the Liver Cancer, 1 operation and a liver transplant the Insurance increased or increasing (who knows!!) the amount of incredibly huge. I bet some of you might have the same problems.
See this...NO JOKING but Robins pay 50,000 US$ last year, is that call premium??
Robins Just received one letter which is yearly come from the Insurance. Last night my Robins said, I am not going to opened before Christmas. I told him.... Good Idea!! I hope this is not the bill for next year with the amount of 70,000$??????
"I am not working"........... Did you hear it!!
We can still pay for it but who knows when we will end up eating the bean soup day and night!!
Well I will do the worry after the Chirstmas meantime I will pray,
"Thank you my God for 3 wonderful years with Robins and Shan."
Not Much!
Lately the Burmese trader are not show up much either. Business is suck!! One of my Chinese dealer friends said to me, "Helen, I am in Bangkok Trade show but no good ah, I am in Hong Kong show but no sell la, and I went to Germany show but no good now I go to China show. I think I am OK there because now Chinese Men very very rich ah!!" I gave it to her my African Ruby and see how is going over there. She was willing to try too.
The trick is this..........., Now most of Bangkok base, The Burmese, The Chinese and African Gem Trader are buying from Chantaburi and selling back to their countries!!
I did not sell nothing for the last 3 month also. I am just floating with tennis, lunches, teaing with friends but also with my church. I am thankful that Robins still can feed me well without my business.
My birthday is coming soon! I am putting a dancing party with those people who really appreciate my invitations. I got offered a dance show from a Ex-Tiffani show dancer from Pataya! She (lets call her, she), is a friends of my gay hair dresser who is really looking forward to my birthday party. I like dancing so I told her, "Go for it!!"
Pretty soon I am leaving up north of Thailand to my second house. As my wish I am going to feed this little church on Christmas day again. The last tow years I have been feeding with one pig and 6 chickens. I wish I can feed them a COW very soon.
The attendees from this church are very poor mountain people but on the Christmas day they will put on the best of the clothes they have and show up with a happy and smiling faces. This is what I looking forward to. Good to be around with any happy people which is contagious. In life I have learn to avoid people who did not see life is value beside they are negative and angry! Remembered "Angry and bad faced" is contagious too.
I love Christmas! I really do. Being around with Robins, Shan and my Grandmama on Christmas morning feel too good for me. Seeing Robins as a Child for a day is fun. He will wake up 5 am and yell.."Merry Christmas, wake up it's Chirstmas...lets open the presents." Of course then we all heading to the Church. This will be forever with my family till I die.
I will end this blog with..................
"Isaiah 9:6: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Thank you God for being part of human for to show us that you are.. "The Truth, The light and The Way"..

One of the reasons to Thankful for
I love you all. Lets have a real meaningful Thanksgiving to you and to ME. I remembered when my son was young, he used to shout like..........,
"Hoooray A Big Bird Turkey Day!!' For a child like him is ok but with my age, if I yelled like him I will look a bit wired may be VERY wired.
Yesterday I joined my Taiwanese (they are my good customer also), friends. Dr. Chen's wife is the Chef who cooked the big bird actually 2 birds!! We had the best time, some were playing "Ma Chong'"
( my spelling??), a Chinese game, some were talking and some were cooking. (Of course I was with the talking group). There were about 20 people with 2 from Sweden. (They are Lilian's sister's in laws)
The hostess Lilian, she is from Taiwan and married to a man from Sweden. Nice people!! Remember the Swedish does not celebrate "The Thanksgiving", but...... I was happy to see mixed nationals. Yesterday there was a lady from Hong Kong, One lady from Singapore, 2 ladies from Sweden and me (old Shan and New American) with a bunch of Taiwanese.
I like Lilian. She is one of the ladies who is very comfortable with what she has. She can go anywhere without makeup and does not care what branded name clothes is. A confident lady I would say. Her life is her husband and her two boys and her close friends. She is fun to be around because she laughs!!
They celebrate the "Thanksgiving" because they used to American traditional and religion celebrations as all of these Taiwanese families's children are in NIST (One of the best International Schools in Bangkok runs by US system), American School. These Taiwanese children are smart Kids and all end up NYU or Yale or Standford or Harvard....you name it there is one from NIST school!!
I know and thankful that my God give it to me in a very special way of making friends. This ability is.....I can get along with many people from different countries! The reason is..... I smile, I like to talk, I like them!! I have no problem to make friends any where I go. I could say I can get alone with most of the normal people because I like to laugh and I get along!! (very few people that I do not understand well but I still treat them OK).
Life on earth is temporary for all of us. In this Thanksgiving Day lets us Thankful to God that what we have!! One of the reasons that I a am very thankful is....."My Friends"!!
Here are my very very good freinds who take me the way what ever I am without any expectation, mean...... "I am good or Bed!!"
From Burma.....Mie Mie, Kathy, Rose, Pinky, Rose Mary, Myu, Sein Sein, Nyut Aye, Thing Thing Htun, Billy, Cyndi, Ma Pou Sue, Myant Mon Kyi, Swe Swe Tin.

My ga ga
I am using this blackberry in United State (in and out from Bangkok many times with US phone service provider) and when I was in Israel too. Then I changed to a phone company in Thailand as Robins said cheaper. Even with new local phone serivce, I have no problem till when I came back from Hong Kong and Macao. My phone bill was split between 8000 ++ baths one month and 4000++ baht for another month for only 10 days in HK and Mao.
When I checked my phone bill I (only not me even Robins too), was shocked to see that the same time, the same date , the same minutes and the same sec,. repeatedly charging me. So I called up the stupid phone office and told them I am not going to pay the bill till you figure it out for me.
After 3 weeks I got a call back. The person said to me.., "I think you do not know how to use the BB, our system is correct!" I was so mad at the person who called me. So I raised my voice and told her, "What do you mean that I do not know how to use my phone after using 2 years?? "
You know to make sure I even went to the phone office (Siam Paragon in Bangkok), before I left to Hong Kong for what and how the regulation over there. They told me, just switch this Auto to manual!
So I did switch and so I did got a huge phone bill from them. I was real mad. Now I am going to the phone office tomorrow to see the Manager in person. Talking on the phone go no where!
How can I feel good for charging me the same date, same time, same minute and same sec., for 10 to 15 times??
I will change the service if they said again that their system is right and I am the one who do not know how to use the phone.
Becareful to those who are using the Blaceberry!!
Oh oh beside that there were 5 phones calls from Singapore that I have no idea who the caller is!!
OK change the subject!
Shan, my son came back from Chaing Mai with a cold and of course he passed it to me. I was in bed for 2 days but thanks to my God it is not H1N1.
My birthday is approaching. This year I will include my hair dresser, my choir members, my ruby dealers those who I never invited before. One thing I noticed is.... When I told my hair girls (they are 2 gays who I like them), they were so happy, I mean
very very veryyyyy happy that I invited them. They said to me, "Khun Helen, I will come and put the make up for you. I will come to your house if you want as a birthday present. "
I invited without any expectations to these tow girls. After seeing they were so so happy for my invitation, I feel great!! I had learn in life that if someone happy by my very little action, I feel I had done some thing good!!
I guess I learn to live my life better. Sincere is the best!!
Good One!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL.
ONCE THERE WAS A MAN WHO PRAYED AND PRAYED TO GOD. AND ONE DAY GOD APPEARED. "YOU HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND PRAYING TO ME. WHAT DO YOU WANT?"
THE MAN WAS SHOCKED, BUT HE HAD SOME QUESTIONS. "GOD, HOW LONG IS YOUR DAY?"
GOD REPLIED, "WELL, ACTUALLY, MILLIONS OF YOUR YEARS ARE BUT A SECOND TO ME."
THE MAN ASKED, "SO GOD, HOW MUCH WEALTH DO YOU HAVE?"
GOD SAID, "IF YOU TOOK ALL THE WEALTH IN THE UNIVERSE AND MULTIPLIED IT MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF TIMES, THAT WOULD BE ONE CENT TO ME."
SO THE MAN SAID, "GOD, COULD I HAVE A CENT?"
AND........ GOD SAID, "JUST A MINUTE..."

Would you like to hear it?
AP: Associated Press
"By KAREN MATTHEWS, Associated Press Writer Karen Matthews, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 52 mins ago"
"NEW YORK – The five men facing trial in the Sept. 11 attacks will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of U.S. foreign policy, the lawyer for one of the defendants said Sunday."
Helen said: These five men OK they can plead guilty or not guilty who care, the trial will decide. Their lawyer said they will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of US Foreign policy! Aren't they air enough?? Plenty of news that saying US this and US that?? My question to them is... Do they want the US Foreign Policy must suit to them?? The US Foreign Policy can't please every one.... learn that please!!! No one can't please everyone.
"Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer for accused terrorist Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, said the men would not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but "would explain what happened and why they did it."
Helen said: The main reason the convicted man wanted to explain is... what happened and why they did it....right?? I no need to hear from them but I understand that if someone would like to hear it. I know exactly what happened because I saw it with my two eyeballs..."They attacked US citizens in US soil." Badly!
Why they did it? I no need to hear this either. They did it because they are wicked, cowarded, hateful and brainwashed who can't judge their own beside evil follower people.
"Critics of Holder's decision — mostly Republicans — have argued the trial will give Mohammed a world stage to spout hateful rhetoric.
Holder said such concerns are misplaced, because judges can control unruly defendants and any pronouncements by Mohammed would only make him look worse.
"I have every confidence that the nation and the world will see him for the coward that he is," Holder told the committee. "I'm not scared of what Khalid Sheik Mohammed has to say at trial — and no one else needs to be either."
Helen said: I mean it and I really do not care what this Mohammed will tell us. Believe me there will be a bunch of Lies, Nasty and Ugly!!! Let me tell you.... The men who lives in Bangkok and lost their son (His son office was in World Trade Center, who entered only 5 minutes earlier into the building and got killed), every time when I visited their house, the pain that they suffered is so obvious!! They can forget about it (which I doubt that), but I do not think they can forgive easily as lost their son.
If I am in their shoe's, as I have only one child and lost him in such way, this is what I will pray (I know, I know and I know this is not the right way to pray..... may be??), but I might pray it like...........
"Dear My Lord Jesus, You teach us thou shall not kill and to forgive. I am so in difficult time to do it my lord. I won't kill Lord but I can't forgive. Please help me and walk with me. I can't do nothing but as they broke your laws and the earthly laws so please let the earthly laws get them good my Lord. Help me to put the turst in you as knowing I know you are the one who will do the last call. " Now this will be my prayer without a lie if I lost my son in such way. Am I bad?
"Holder said the public and the nation's intelligence secrets can be protected during a public trial in civilian court."
"We need not cower in the face of this enemy," Holder says. "Our institutions are strong, our infrastructure is sturdy, our resolve is firm, and our people are ready."
Helen said: Mohammad is not even US Citizen! He is very lucky to be alive after 8 years. If this is reverse event like 5 American went to his country and killed 3600 of his country people ... Do you all think what will happen to these 5 Americans? For sure they will get chop!!
Of course these 5 American men be dead by now. I am sure you know that too don't you??
What a world we live in!!

Action speaks louder than words
Thank you and thank you Jodi. May God bless you many many on earth and in heaven. Thank you!!
By: John P. Kelly - BISD Superintendent
"In 1994, on Christmas Eve, Jodi gathered with her parents, husband, siblings, and other relatives to sit down and eat their Christmas meal here in Boerne. But as her Dad was about to say grace, his pager went off and he excused himself. The pager was issued by the transplant unit and notified him that the doctors had a liver donor for him. As Jodi's dad returned to the table, there was much celebration and even greater occasion to give thanks – both for the gift and the giver. Immediately thereafter, they drove Jodi's dad to University Hospital and on Christmas morning he received that gift of life.
Her dad had eight more wonderful years because of the liver transplant – and was able to witness the marriage of his youngest child and the births of three more grandchildren. But as with many transplants, there is a mountain of medicine that accompanies the surgery and its aftermath. His kidneys were damaged and he began dialysis in 2002. It was clear that a kidney transplant would be necessary. As the family and doctors looked for a living donor, Jodi volunteered. Later, her Dad found a print of one of the scientists instrumental in transplantation advances. He inscribed it to Jodi at the bottom: “This man helped make transplants possible and I know that one day you will too.”
Unfortunately, cancer re-emerged in Jodi's dad and the kidney transplant became impossible. Even so, Jodi kept that treasured inscription in her closet. She told me her father's greatest wish was that all of his family would have “a closer walk with our Father. He used every day of those eight new years to help make that happen.” Jodi's dad died later in 2002 on the morning after his 37th wedding anniversary. But this story and his legacy does not end there.
In May of this year, a woman in Jodi's church stood up in Sunday school and asked for prayers for her husband who badly needed a kidney transplant but was not eligible for the list. He needed a living donor. Jodi turned to her mother and her husband and said “This is it!” She felt that this was the fulfillment of the inscription left by her Dad. Jodi said, “I knew without a doubt that God had been preparing me for just a time as this! I told him I was his donor. Some things in life you're just sure of, and this was one of them for me.”
The transplant technicians started tests this summer but concluded that Jodi's kidney was not a match. However, because of the Donor Exchange Program, she will donate a kidney to that program and in turn the man from her church will receive another. Both the man and Jodi will enter the hospital at the same time as another mismatched pair. Between the four of them, two kidneys will be donated to two people who need them. It's likely all of this will happen sometime around Thanksgiving. While she prepares, Jodi simply says that she “can feel the prayers lifting me up at this time. Glory to God!”
Developing the character of students who live here is most powerfully done through personal example. Jodi's willingness to sacrifice for another speaks louder than any words."

Moon Water, So What?
From Washington Post :
"Water on the moon could prove to be a valuable resource for space exploration. Not only could it provide drinking water for astronauts, it could be used to create rocket fuel. NASA's long-term strategy for exploration officially includes a return of astronauts to the moon, but plans are up in the air as the Obama Administration examines alternatives that might include bypassing the moon in the near term."
Helen Said: After 40 years man walk on the moon, scientist had found water. I searched because I wanted to know how much water they found? Here are the answered..................

H1N1 Vaccine
Singapore??
I am planning to spend the Christmas with my grand mama so will try to get before.
Here is part of my doctor's email............
"You should get the flu shot, but not the nasal spray which has a live, attenuated virus. Thus two flu shots this year if you have access (regular flu and H1N1) but not the h1N1 nasal spray vaccine!"
Thank you Doctor!!!
Rich Man
When you talking about rich, there are 3 kinds of rich nowadays. Here how life make me see the richness...
Rich
But I am not sure this richness (money), can give you back like...
Happiness
Once at dinner table a guy said to me, "Helen, you have 5 million dollar in your pocket nowadays it is not value much in USA!" In my mind this is what I said to him.... ( I shut my mouth because I knew how much this man has. OK approximately!! You never know if I have more money than this guy I might shoot him back with my big mouth), "What the hell you are talking about it is alot of money you MORO!!" Make me feel that this is how filthy rich talk to little rich???
There is another man that we know. He has around 90 millions $ who use to have a private plane with partner too but when the Hurricane Katerina hit his business, he left 30 millions (He told me so!!). Every time this man came to Bangkok for the Business trip this is what he told me with very sad sad face, "Helen, I am not rich anymore!!'" I look at him with pity and said, (again to myself not to him), why can't you enjoy what you have left???"
In life if you are the Master of the Money is ok but when the Money become your Master then all the problems come along.
In the bible Lord Jesus also talking about money also. Here is one of the occation talking about money. As Pastor Martin write....
"As Jesus was traveling one day, a young man ran up to ask a question. He wanted to know what he needed to do to in herit eternal life. Jesus, knowing the young man's heart, said he need to to sell all he owned and give to the poor. The young man went a way sad because he had great wealth. (
I, Helen would say....the young man might be filthy rich?).
It brings to mind the question: Why do people continue to seek after wealth when it so obviously can not give fulfillment? ...."
I, Helen thinking: When I read the above this is what I was thinking. I might be wrong if so, help me out!
Thank you Jesus for not teaching me like... "You just trust me. The earthly leaders and Laws you can ignore them all. They are not important and I will take care of it."
Now when Jesus said to the young rich man, "Sell all you owned and give to the poor" this is what I see......
When Jesus said that he did NOT mean sell all your richness and gave it away to the poor all. Sell everything and you live poor on the street is not the point here. I am sure this young man is a smart and intelligent man and he knows what Jesus's exactly mean!! For my understanding is...
1. Share you wealth. Helping people out.
OK put it point blank as Jesus did...... which richman will do the sell everything and give to the poor. NO ONE RICHMAN WILL DO THAT!!!
Here are some people who put money first in their life and who allowed the money to become their master.
As in Pastor Marting write..."Charles Schwab, president of the largest steel company in America; Samuel Insull, president of the largest utility company; Howard Hopson, president of the largest gas company; Arthur Cutten, the great wheat speculator; Richard Whitney, president of the New York Stock Exchange; Albert fall, secretary of the interior in president Harding's cabinet; Jesse livermore, the great "bear" on Wall Street; Ivan Krueger, head of the world's greatest monopoly; and Leon Fraser, president of the Bank of International Settlements.
Twenty-Five Years later:
*Charles Schwab went bankrupt.
I, Helen thinking: This is what I see on these above men.
Don't get me worng on richmen. There are many richmen who are very in consider and nice. If you want me to drop names, here are some.... Bill Gate, Warren Buffet, Opral, Dr. Coffrin, some hollywood stars and many more from different countries!!
As a believer I will always love God first then I will love the money.
One last question: Why men who were some of the wealthiest, most powerful of their day but why failed???

????? Question............
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTgyakGAddM
I am still do not know that I need to shot up swine flu vaccine or not yet. My mind is full of ????????! I did ask my Thai GI doctor and he said I should wait as he heard many stories of side effect from the vaccine. Of course I am reading often about the news of this H1N1 thingi.
I got the uTupe (above), and it is very interesting about the talk of Finland Health Minister. Have a look at it you all. Will be nice if you can share with me what do you think about it.
Last night, I did send an email to my US Doctor and waiting for the reply. I know that Transplant people need to be very careful about these crazy pig.
I have this problem... I feel bad every time after I shock hand with people because I have to look for my hand sanitizer and need to clean right in front of them. Then I have to say, "Sorry I am a liver transplant recipient." Friends who are close, they knew so I have no problem of doing it.
Amazingly I have live like a normal person for 3 years now. Right after one year of my transplant, I visited Israel and even did one day tour with the crowed. I was on the bus tour to North of Israel and ate all over by the sea of Galilee then 5 trips back to US from Bangkok, then a trip to Shan State which is not so good way of travelling, 3 trips to my second house at up north of Thailand.
Talking about bus tour in sea of Galilee, I had met one of the Liver transplant doctors on the same trip. We had the best conversation on the bus. I was so happy and felt like I have my won private liver doctor was touring aroud with me!!
In USA after transplant I did go all over within the country also. I do have normal seasonal flu shoot every year. For me this is a big help. By the blessing I have not attack by flu yet. Hopefully NOT in future too.
I was poking transplants' blog and found this Erin's blog and read their story. I have seen God's Miracle is still going on if you have faith. No doubt on that. Some people got cured even the doctors nor scientists can't explain it but said "miracle".
For me..... I am so thankful that I am one of them who have seen the miracle instead of saying I can't see and can't feel the miracle of God and do not believe in it.
PRAY with FAITH and......WAIT is the key for me.

2009 Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is coming soon. We used to have the best time of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals at my in law's house. We used to fly back home for these 2 occasions. Robins's mother teach me a true family time in Thanksgiving and Christmas time.
I love Christmas morning service and after that follow by a big beautiful lunch table at Robin's parent. I do remember that the presents were all over.
I was at the Emporium Mall in Bangkok the other day. The Christmas decoration is starting to fill in with all of the malls in Bangkok. People are ready to sell and to buy.
I have decided that I won't give Christmas presents to no one. Honestly I do not expected a cheque with love from Robins any more because my medication is very very expensive. I am sure I will get cheque from my In Laws. I will used it very wisely. No shoes but will travel.
When I say "Thankful" I am checking my own characters that to whom I am thanking to? and What you are "ABSOLUTELY" thankful for this year?
The following are what I understand about what is, what for, why and Where...questions links about the "Thanksgiving!"
"The grateful Pilgrims then declared a three-day feast, starting on December 13, 1621, to thank God and to celebrate with their Indian friends. While this was not the first Thanksgiving in America (thanksgiving services were held in Virginia as early as 1607), it was America's first Thanksgiving Festival."
"Pilgrim Edward Winslow described the Pilgrims' Thanksgiving in these words:
"Our harvest being gotten in, our Governor sent four men on fowling [bird hunting] so that we might, after a special manner, rejoice together after we had gathered the fruit of our labors. They four in one day killed as much fowl as... served the company almost a week... Many of the Indians [came] amongst us and... their greatest King, Massasoit, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted; and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought... And although it be not always so plentiful as it was at this time with us, yet BY THE GOODNESS OF GOD WE ARE... FAR FROM WANT."
"In 1789, following a proclamation issued by President George Washington, America celebrated its first Day of Thanksgiving to God under its new constitution. That same year, the Protestant Episcopal Church, of which President Washington was a member, announced that the first Thursday in November would become its regular day for giving thanks, "unless another day be appointed by the civil authorities." Yet, despite these early national proclamations, official Thanksgiving observances usually occurred only at the State level. "
"Lincoln's original 1863 Thanksgiving Proclamation came - spiritually speaking - at a pivotal point in his life. During the first week of July of that year, the Battle of Gettysburg occurred, resulting in the loss of some 60,000 American lives. Four months later in November, Lincoln delivered his famous "Gettysburg Address." It was while Lincoln was walking among the thousands of graves there at Gettysburg that he committed his life to Christ. As he explained to a friend:
When I left Springfield [to assume the Presidency] I asked the people to pray for me. I was not a Christian. When I buried my son, the severest trial of my life, I was not a Christian. But when I went to Gettysburg and saw the graves of thousands of our soldiers, I then and there consecrated myself to Christ."
"As Americans celebrate Thanksgiving each year, we hope they will retain the original gratefulness to God displayed by the Pilgrims and many other founding fathers , and remember that it is to those early and courageous Pilgrims that they owe not only the traditional Thanksgiving holiday but also the concepts of self-government, the "hard-work" ethic, self-reliant communities, and devout religious faith."
I would also say.... "Thank you very much my God for being with me in Good time and Bad time. Thank you for the wisdom that you give it to me not to forget you even in hard time of my life.
Again, Thank you to you my God!!

News that make me do the thinking
By CHRISTOPHER BODEEN, Associated Press Writer Christopher Bodeen, Associated Press Writer – Mon Nov 9, 12:54 pm ET
"BEIJING – China has executed nine men, including eight from the Muslim Uighur minority, for crimes committed during July riots that killed 200 people in far western Xinjiang region."..............
The Second News: DC area relives terror as sniper's execution nears
By DAVID DISHNEAU, Associated Press Writer David Dishneau, Associated Press Writer – Mon Nov 9, 12:59 pm ET
"WHEATON, Md. – When James D. Martin was shot dead seven years ago in the parking lot of a grocery store in suburban Washington, it got little attention on the nightly news."..................
John Allen Muhammad, D.C. sniper, loses Supreme Court appeal
The Supreme Court on Monday refused to block John Allen Muhammad's execution, scheduled for Tuesday in a Virginia prison. The Christian Science Monitor - 1 hour, 3 minutes ago
Helen's Thinking: These two news was on today! When I heard these news in the morning I said; "Wowwww it takes only 4 months to bring the justice and to kill those bastards in China but it takes 7 years to kill one bastard in my USA!!"
This is what Robins said;" Helen, you can't go kill people right away. We have justice and we have to make sure this is the right person or the real things."
Even I am not Robert Shapiro, Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher or Mrs. Golden Mayer (Well... I like her alot because she is fast in everything too), I am not a stupid nor a slow learner!! Trust me on that. I think 4 months and 7 years is a way way huge different time. Why China works fast and we work so slow?? Because we have money to keep a bad guy to live longer life in jail than in China??
Let see on John Allen Muhammad case. Got the dead sentence but after 7 years he is still taking and walkintg with healthy look. Lets do the calculation (might not be correct but let me try it in my way!!)...
Says....................
Food: 15 $ per day X 7 years= 38325$
Electricity: 70 $ per month X 7 years=5880$
Water: 25 $ per month X 7 years=2100$
Say Miscellaneous= 25000$ for 7 years (sickness and hygiene, his clothes, his hair cut etc...)
Total=71305$ (may be more or may be less)
The sad thing is........, Most young and good men or women can't save that much money in 7 years in USA. Here ..we are or we need (I have no idea), to keep this useless man for 7 years is real real sad thing. Now I am talking only one bastard, can you imagine how many bastards that we are feeding for a long long years! How many thousand of millions are we going to use more which is necessary or not??? I have no idea on that.
Here what I found.....

Can I keep the "Respect"?
God said to the woman, "Woman respects your man!" Both words are in the Bible. These are what I learn from my yesterday, Sunday Worshipping.
When I said I just learn it means...... I know what love and respect is but never have deep thought about how the love and respect links strongly between a married couple. It DOES!!!
I have love to my husband but I also do have moment of yelling, throwing hurting words, not listing etc.,.... lack of respect not only one or two times but in my 19 years of marriage life, I have many many disrespect times with Robins. When Pastor was busy sharing about love and respect, I was busy asking to myself too. I asked to myself, "Why I do not keep respect???" The only nearest answer to myself was, "I reacted instantly!" and.. the next comes, "May be I am expecting too much."
Then I said, "Well... he provokes me too!" Sound like excuse right?
Can I give you an example what provoke mean to me? : Last night we went out for dinner. Me, Robins, the two Americans Business man, Ning (A Thai lady) and her husband who is from Austria. By the way I had a nice time with them because I like them. The reason I like them is, lots of laughing! Easy going and the conversation just flowed. There is no one minute to pretend that I like them. I just naturally like them the way they are.
Somehow the conversation heading about my blog. Jack (not his real name), said "Oh Helen you have blog?'
I said, "Yes!'
Jack said, "Can I have your address. You will see lots of people will read.,"
I said, " Well.. my English is not that good you know.''
At the moment my lovely husband jumped in and said.,
"Oh yeah, her English is bad... sometime I did not understand what she's saying.,"
(Sometimes Robins forgot that I am not born with English and I do not have Education as high as he has either. I always said to him if I were raised in USA with a pair of parent as he has, I will be as big as Hillary Clinton (not the looks but the brain is what I mean here!). I might also be the First Lady too!")
Honestly I will say this.... if not the yesterday from Sunday morning worshiping about love and respect, I will give back to Robins real real good on that moment and on the spot! But surprisingly, I shut my mouth. I just accepted that if this is what he wants to say, let him say it. I learn to respect or may be learn more to ignore it or I am in still confusing!! I think both combine will work for me well. OK I have been honest here.
See the point here? Why can't he say, "I am glad she can write that much even born and raised on the mountain. I am so proud of her for trying her best. Yeah.. her blog is interesting!!" Then the respect will be building bigger and bigger in my heart! Right? (By the way I have many people poking my blog even with my own bad English!!).
I will end with Pastor sharing from yesterday. Here it is..........
"I once knew a very old married couple who radiated a tremendous happiness. The wife especially, who was almost unable to move because of old age and illness and in whose kind old face the joys and sufferings of many years had etched a hundred lines, was filled with such a gratitude for life that I was touched to the quick.
Involuntarily, I asked myself what could possibly be the source of this kindly person's radiance. In every other respect they were common couple, and their room indicated only the most modest comfort. But suddenly I knew where it all came from, for I saw those tow speaking to each other their eyes hanging upon each other. All at once it became clear to me that this woman was dearly loved.
It was not because she was a cheerful and pleasant person that she was loved by the husband all those years. It was the other way around. Because she was so loved she became the person I saw before me.
from :"Because She was loved" by Helmut Thielicke, How the World Began."
I do have respect for Robins has not cheating on me for 19 years!! The more I grew older I know for sure that a good married is not base on Material. Not at all but help very little such as short time happiness.
How many pair of shoes I can buy right???

Get The Flu Shot Please!!

Infection
Transplantation
SAN FRANCISCO—As the nation prepares for influenza season, the susceptibility of immunosuppressed individuals, including transplant recipients, to the new H1N1 influenza strain (“swine flu”) and efficacy of the new H1N1 vaccines in these populations remain unclear. Nevertheless, a medical epidemiologist believes transplant recipients and other immunosuppressed individuals receive the new vaccines.
“I think if I were a renal transplant patient, I would get vaccinated before influenza strikes in my community,” said Gaston De Serres, MD, PhD, of Laval University in Quebec, Canada. “If I have flu-like symptoms during the time influenza is circulating in my community, I should go and consult early [with my physician], not late.”
At the 49th annual meeting here of the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Dr. De Serres spoke about the H1N1 vaccines approved by the FDA on September 15.
Over the next six months, more will be known about how safe and effective the H1N1 vaccines are in immunocompromised patients, he said. Based on preliminary data from adults participating in multiple clinical studies, the H1N1 vaccines induce a robust immune response in most healthy adults eight to 10 days after a single dose, as occurs with the seasonal influenza vaccine.
Ongoing clinical studies will provide additional information about the optimal dose in children. The recommendations for dosing will be updated if indicated by findings from those studies. As with the seasonal influenza vaccines, the 2009 H1N1 vaccines are being produced in formulations that contain thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative, and in non-thimerosal formulations. Patients with severe or life-threatening allergies to chicken eggs, or to any other substance in the vaccine, should not be vaccinated.
Patients who receive solid organ transplants (SOT) generally have higher influenza infection rates because of the immunosuppressant drugs they take to prevent organ rejection, Dr. De Serres noted.
Lung transplant recipients seem particularly at risk as the lungs are the primary site of flu infection. Kidney transplant recipients can suffer organ rejection if they contract influenza. In theory, vaccination in these populations could also stimulate a T-cell response, leading to rejection. However, most studies suggest this does not occur.
Flu can cause organ rejection
“Seasonal influenza has been reported to cause rejection of the transplanted kidney, so preventing influenza in kidney transplant recipients is important,” said Ken Kunisaki, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. “While kidney transplant recipients may not have as good antibody responses to influenza vaccine as people without transplants, a substantial proportion still responds. Therefore, kidney transplant recipients should receive influenza vaccination, in accordance with guidelines from the American Society of Transplantation. Unfortunately, there are not enough data about swine flu in transplant recipients and its vaccine to make firm conclusions and recommendations at this time.”
With seasonal influenza, a key issue appears to be timing. The American Society of Transplantation recommends flu vaccination every year for all recipients of SOTs, beginning six months after transplantation. U.S. guidelines recommend lifelong annual vaccinations; European guidelines recommend individual patient assessment.
Estimates show that more than 327,000 people were receiving hemodialysis treatment in the United States at the end of 2006. Infections are the second leading cause of death in these patients, and lung infections such as influenza claim a higher proportion of lives among dialysis patients than the general population. An analysis of Medicare claims data showed that flu-vaccinated patients on dialysis had a substantially lower chance of hospitalization or death from any cause than unvaccinated patients.
Chemotherapy can produce acute and profound immunosuppression in cancer patients and studies suggest that 21%-33% of cancer patients may be infected with influenza when admitted to a hospital with respiratory symptoms during a flu epidemic. Again, timing of flu vaccination may be crucial in cancer patients. The response to flu vaccination might be best between chemotherapy cycles or more than 7 days before chemotherapy starts.
“Patients receiving chemotherapy for cancer appear to be at heightened risk for influenza-related complications,” Dr. Kunisaki said. “They also appear less likely to respond to influenza vaccine, but nevertheless, a fair proportion still responds. No formal guidelines exist for influenza vaccination of patients receiving chemotherapy, but the data suggest timing vaccination to either more than two weeks before receiving chemotherapy or between chemotherapy cycles.”
Big Mouth
By APRIL CASTRO and DEVLIN BARRETT, Associated Press Writers April Castro And Devlin Barrett, Associated Press Writers – 15 mins ago
"FORT HOOD, Texas – An Army psychiatrist set to be shipped overseas opened fire at the Fort Hood Army post Thursday, authorities said, a rampage that killed 12 people and left 31 wounded in the worst mass shooting ever at a military base in the United States."............
"The man was identified as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a 39-year-old from Virginia."
Above new was on CNN this morning, a Breaking New! I am sure by now the whole world are already knew what happening in our US soil.
I am going to have a very big mouth about this new. Well.. This is my blog and I am entitle to express what I feel today. You have a problem for reading this blog? So what?? If you want to big mouth like me, get your own blog please.
In 1992 when I set my foot in US soil, I have learn that USA is full of multi racial and multi culture. People come to US with different reasons...i.e., Migration, Studying, Work Permit, Contract, Asylum and Business Investment. You know some of them never go back to the country where they are from. USA welcome every people from around the world.
We do have a one big problem in USA though. From those people, how many are really adopting the real American Spirit!! Most of them knows what is the American Dreams but seen to me they forgot the meaning of American Spirit!
You can not come to stay USA for money only. If this money is the only reason you come to USA, you are not a good Citizen you are just the same level of a bad "PUTA".
Once you become American you have to have American Spirit which is "Unity Under United State of America." If you do not prepare for this "Unity" you should even not consider to become a US Citizen.
I will never accept people who come to my house just for eating and shitting. Worst they even not flash the water after shitting. I like my house guest locked my door if they are back to my house late or in anytime any day. Just secure my house please!! If you do not want to do this please get out of my house.
As you all know that I am from Shan State, now under Burma. I love my Shan State very much. I will always love this place. I will miss my people but once I become American, my first priority will be my new country, USA. I am an American.
I have SEEN American people celebrating... The Italian day, The Purta Rican day, The Irish day, The Mexican day. These celebration are fine with me and sure for the American too. People should not forget where they are coming from and their cultural but should be nothing above than celebration once you become American Citizen.
One of the question on the day I was interviewed by US Immigration office to become a US Citizen was... "Will you bare the arm to protect when the country needs you."... My answered was, "Yes!". They just need to teach me how to shoot then I will shot when the country needs me. Jesus told me "What belong to Cesar give it to the Cesar" which my understanding is... I have to obey my country laws.
Today if I have one wish to say, this will be my wish..
LOVE YOUR COUNTRY!! BE A GOOD FELLOW AMERICAN CITIZEN.
Those who mad at US Government, please go to deal with the US Government but do not touch American.

My way of thinking
2. Do not forget that my English is not that good as to writing down from what I have in my brain. So bare with my bad English too please.
Here is what I have in my brain for today.
I will say it again as I said in my old blogs that sometime I have encountered sweet Atheist and bitter Atheist. To be fair, yes ....there are good Christian and bad Christian (I would say, people who has Faith but without Act! According to James (from the Bible), Act without Faith is as bad as Faith without Act), and good Hindu and bad Hindu, good Muslim and bad Muslim.......etc,.
Every time when I see unsweet Atheist, they like to discuss about religion but the only religion they want to talk about is Christian Religion. Why? Why not unsweet to other religions too??
When I was reading last night I found the following "The Ten Commandments" of Ethical Atheist. I got a catfish smile (mean... little smile). Honestly I have no idea what Ethical Atheist mean. I guess, may be sweet Atheist??
First thing I told to myself when I saw the Atheist Ten Commandments was.....
"Oh Lord here come again, Even Atheist Commandments has to be number, "10" commandments as we Christian has. Why can't they have "12" or "14" commandments??? " Well obviously they like to be same as the number (10) as Christian!!!
They said jsut consider as "suggestions", well... OK even as a "suggestions" why not 12 or 14 "suggestions"??
Here are the Atheist Comments.
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (OF THE ETHICAL ATHEIST)
NOTE: Free thought and tolerance obviously prohibit these from being "commandments"! Just consider them "suggestions".
1. Thou SHALT NOT believe all thou art told.
Helen said: Free choice for every one so I really do not have to say about what everyone believe in!
2. Thou SHALT seek knowledge and truth constantly.
Helen Said: Knowledge..yes we are facing new knowledges as science is developing, i.e. medical science. Doctors need to seek new medical science. Truth, I have seen the truth in my Bible and also in my Christian Ten Commandments. i.e. The truth for me is, my God is living God. I no need to seek constantly about it. Put it this way I have found my true God..period!
3. Thou SHALT educate thy fellow man in the Laws of Science.
Helen said: Kidding me? Yes, science we have to learn. For me I starting to learn science since I was middle school. But my educators was not call "Fellow Man" They are call "School Teachers". I am talking about pure science but I have no idea that science has the laws. By the way, who are the Supreme Judges of the the Laws of Science?? I know country's laws, States Laws but Zero knowledge about Science Laws for me. I need to read more on this point.
4. Thou SHALT NOT forget the atrocities committed in the name of god.
Helen said: Honestly I admitted here that I need help from my dictionary because I have no idea what "atrocities" is. Now I knew! Let me tell you this... No religions said kill in the name of God. People is the one killing in the name of God. God did not tell you to kill in the name of God. From my believe, Jesus never tell me to kill other in the name of Jesus.
5. Thou SHALT leave valuable contributions for future generations.
Helen said: For me this even shouldn't be in the any group of Commandments. Say, If I am a poor and uneducated Atheist I will be beating to myself for not being able to leaving nothing to my future generations.
6. Thou SHALT live in peace with thy fellow man.
Helen said: I was told not only live in peace with fellow man but to love my neighbour.
7. Thou SHALT live this one life thou hast to its fullest.
Helen said: I need to understand more about the meaning of "Fullest" for Atheist.
8. Thou SHALT follow a Personal Code of Ethics.
Helen said: I do not understand what Personal Code of Ethics is as well.
9. Thou SHALT maintain a strict separation between Church and State.
Helen said: Here come again my fellow Atheists. Why they use the word "Church" only. Why not "Temple", "Monastery", "Pagoda", "Mosque", and even "Atheist and State!! If I say like the way they are saying as, "Thou Shalt maintain a strict separation between Atheists and State."!! Sound good???
10. Thou SHALT support those who follow these commandments.
Helen said: I support my family, my friends, my church, my religion not in blindly but within in the laws of God's eyes and with the Earthly laws. If a Church is running unethical way, I won't support this kind of church either!
I obey the Laws of God and the laws of men on earth in each country.
PS. I love you Sweet Atheists even we believe in very different way as....
You do not believe in God but I do believe in my God!
Breaking Point Again!
I just only want to say; "Thank you America and thank you to never giving up doctors!!" If I am in Shan State, I'll be dead by now and may be the warms are happying for the food.
Amazingly I have been living a quality life for 3 years! Again thank you to Shand Hospital, University of Florida. Thank you to my doctors, Dr. Hemming, Dr. Langham Jr., Dr. Nelson, Dr. Souldevilla Pico of course my buddies at Transplant Team, Rocky Lab, Nurses and to a University Hospital bus driver. I love this lady but I can't remember her name who I encounter totally twice in my life. She makes me laugh and make me also can't forget her everytime I go back to Gainesville!! What a joyful one. Also thank you to my Thai Doctors, Dr. Sinn and Dr. Surasak.
Above of all thoes people a very big big thank you to my Lord Jesus Christ who is walking with me and being with me all those diffiicult days....and till now.
I love you my Lord and my God!
Ok enjoy the reading!

63-Year-Old Dentist Undergoes 14-Hour Landmark Surgery
TUCSON, Ariz.--(Business Wire)--
SynCardia Systems, Inc. (www.syncardia.com), manufacturer of the SynCardia
temporary CardioWest Total Artificial Heart, announced today that Cleveland
Clinic has performed the world`s first Total Artificial Heart to dual heart and
liver transplant.
"Cleveland Clinic has made medical history with their use of the Total
Artificial Heart to bridge a very ill patient to a dual heart and liver
transplant," said Dr. Jack Copeland, internationally renowned transplant surgeon
and Total Artificial Heart pioneer. "My congratulations go out to Drs. Nicholas
Smedira and Randall Starling, two world class physicians."
After living with the Total Artificial Heart for 113 days, on May 1, 2009, Dr.
Michael Zabell received the donor heart and liver during a 14-hour landmark
surgery involving two different transplant teams. Today, Dr. Zabell is enjoying
life at home with his wife of 19 years and his two daughters, ages 17 and 15.
"I`ve had more doctors than the Cleveland Browns have had quarterbacks," said
Dr. Zabell. "Dr. Smedira is not only an outstanding surgeon but he`s really a
wonderful guy. Cleveland Clinic has an outstanding group of surgeons, physicians
and hospital staff, including my cardiologist Dr. Starling. I can`t say enough
about the care."
Dr. Zabell was first admitted to the hospital to wait for a heart transplant on
Aug. 18, 2008. He was given medication to help his heart function, but his
condition continued to deteriorate. By January 8, 2009, his heart had become so
weak that doctors needed to implant the Total Artificial Heart to buy him more
time until a matching donor heart and liver could be found.
*Disclosure* Nicholas Smedira, MD, is a paid consultant for SynCardia Systems,
Inc.
Originally used as a permanent replacement heart, the Total Artificial Heart is
currently approved as a bridge to human heart transplant for patients dying from
end-stage biventricular failure. The Total Artificial Heart is the only device
that provides immediate, safe blood flow of up to 9.5 L/min through both
ventricles.
The SynCardia Total Artificial Heart is the first and only FDA, Health Canada
and CE Mark approved Total Artificial Heart in the world. There have been more
than 800 implants of the Total Artificial Heart, accounting for more than 170
patient years of life on the device.
